How it works
Cropping a PDF trims the visible margins on every page, which is useful for removing dark borders left by a scanner, cutting off blank whitespace before printing, or focusing a page on just its content area.
How to use it
- Choose your PDF — Works on any page size.
- Set a trim percentage — Choose how much to trim off each edge.
- Download your cropped file — The same trim applies evenly to every page.
Common questions
Does cropping delete the trimmed content permanently?
The crop adjusts each page's visible boundary — content outside that boundary won't display or print, though this is a standard PDF crop-box adjustment, not permanent pixel deletion.
Can I crop each edge by a different amount?
Currently this tool applies the same percentage to all four edges evenly. For asymmetric crops, more manual PDF editing software may be needed.
Will this work well on scanned documents?
Yes — cropping is especially useful for scanned pages with uneven dark borders around the edges.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool processes your file directly in your browser. It is never sent to a server, stored, or seen by anyone.
Is there a file size or daily limit?
No daily limit. Very large files (roughly 100MB+) may be slow since everything runs on your own device's memory rather than a server.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Every tool on this site is free and requires no sign-up.
