How it works
This tool adds new text anywhere on a page — useful for filling in a note, labeling a diagram, or adding information a form is missing. It doesn't detect or let you edit text that's already part of the PDF; it adds new text on top, which is a meaningfully different (and more broadly achievable) capability than true in-place text editing.
How to use it
- Choose your PDF — The tool reads the total page count.
- Pick a page and type your text — Choose top, center, or bottom placement.
- Download your edited file — Your text is added to that page.
Common questions
Can I click on existing text in my PDF to change it?
No — this tool adds new text on top of the page rather than editing text that's already there. True click-to-edit requires detecting exactly where existing text sits on the page, which isn't part of this tool.
Can I add text to multiple pages in one pass?
Currently one page and one text block per run — repeat the process for additional pages.
Can I change the font or color of the added text?
Not currently — text is added in a standard readable font and dark color for consistency and legibility.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool processes your file directly in your browser. It is never sent to a server, stored, or seen by anyone.
Is there a file size or daily limit?
No daily limit. Very large files (roughly 100MB+) may be slow since everything runs on your own device's memory rather than a server.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Every tool on this site is free and requires no sign-up.
